Chaos

So I decided that I needed to look at my blog and possibly think about writing something. Life has been so crazy lately. First off, being back to work full time has been quite the adjustment. I always thought that I would strongly dislike (HATE) staying home after I had Matix. But I quickly realized it was something that I could get used to. Big surprise! I miss Mr Matix daily and annoy my babysitters by making at least 2 calls home a day. Two weeks ago we headed to Colorado for my brother's 40th birthday. It was well planned and very fun. We stayed with my brother Mike and his 5 children and 1 on the way. Matix had a lot of fun and did awesome on the airplane. Whenever there was turbulence, he would smile. I think he liked the way it made his belly feel! We returned on Monday and on Wednesday we were back on the plane headed to sunny San Diego. It was beautiful and the sun was so refreshing! I had to go there for a conference for work and Scott and Matix decided to join me and make a trip out of it. Scott flew on a different airline because my work payed for my trip. This was pretty stressful because I had Matix with me. I realized what it must feel like to be a single mom. OVERWHELMING! We made it there and had a great time! Scott and Matix spent a lot of time together and did some bonding... While I worked- It sucked! Matix was sick while we were there. I felt so bad for the little guy. He is still working on getting over his cold. I've been putting lots of oils on him and he seems to be getting better- Yes I believe in the witch doctor! We got home Sunday and were back to work Monday. Tuesday, last night, Scott had an indoor soccer game. While showing his amazing skills and foot work, he ruptured his Achilles tendon. Can I just say- SERIOUSLY! It was a total flashback from 2 years ago when he broke his other ankle playing softball. He had surgery today and will be in a cast for 6 weeks and a brace for 3-4 months. In the 6.5 years we have been married, Scott has had 3 surgeries. It is crazy. His mom told him that he is now only allowed to play wheelchair basketball but then quickly took it back because of the possibility of getting his fingers caught in the spokes! I love that Scott loves sports but I don't love having a cripple for a husband- Love you Scott! Any suggestions?

It has been nice tonight. I came home from the hospital and put Matix in bed and took a bath. It was good ME time. I hope Scott can come home tomorrow and we can have a little less chaos!
