WHO???

I know... it has been 4 months since my last post and I am sure we have all been forgotten! I decided that it was time so here it goes...

Scott has been working from home since December with his new job. He loves it (most of the time)- unless Matix or I are talking, laughing, or crying! We have a small house and it has been an adjustment for all of us to use 12 inch whispers all day long! Overall though, Matix loves his dad and always breaks into the office to see him.

I am officially a full time mom... whatever that means??? I have been home now for 3 weeks and I am loving being with Matix and seeing all the new things he does- I think he is learning new words every day and is rapidly moving toward being two! This weather has really put a damper on my plans of sunbathing and picnics in the park but we will work with what we have.

Matix is growing so much... he could spend all his days outside (no shoes included, hence the runny nose and cough), he is constantly trying to escape, he is talking more each day, he likes to do everything by himself, and is the best kisser ever- he spares no saliva!! The other night, we had some friends over and he was playing with them. At one point he came and sat on the couch next to Scott and our friend asked him "Am I your favorite?". Matix replied "YESSS!!!". Then Scott said "Am I your best friend?". Matix replied "YESSS!!". Naturally, I asked "Am I your favorite?". Pause... Matix looks side to side contemplating his answer and then says "yes...". Sadly, I accepted the yes but knew my answer sounding nothing like the rest... I guess this is what it means to be a mom- overworked and under appreciated!!! (It was actually really funny and it made the night.)

Enough talk, let me show you the little monkey...

This last Saturday we went to a Baby Animal exhibit in Wellsville. He loved all the animals and had a meltdown when he couldn't touch the baby bears.

This is Matix's buddy Ryker. He loves hanging out with him. They are moving soon and Matix will miss his company.

This is Matix's favorite book. We read it repetitively daily. He never gets sick of it. This day, I came up from downstairs to find him laying on the kitchen counter with his book and reading it to himself. It's not that hard- as long as you can say "Goodnight"... 20 times

We went sledding up at Soldier Hollow with my family. It was a little fast for him but none the less- I made him go!

We went to St George for the 1/2 marathon. We were getting ready to go swimming and I turned around and he had his swim diaper on his head... it was hilarious.
