"Mickey!!!"

Before we talk about "Mickey", we need to tell you about our incredible Easter egg hunt. Farmington city puts on a hunt every year and we decided that Matix was now old enough to enjoy the festivities. It started at 10am and they had us all line up in age groups. As time went on, we noticed all of the other lines dwindling but ours. Finally, around 10:30 they announce that they children with the smallest attention spans (0-3) would get their turn. We are herded like cattle to the basketball court where there were hundreds of eggs laying there. They announce that the parents are to let their children go in alone when they say it is time. They ring the bell and all parents and children swarm in. Being the rule follower that I am, allow Matix to go in alone until I realized there was no way he would get any eggs since all the parents were in there. Parents were pushing other children out of the way so that they could grab eggs for their children. As we watched the other parents leaving with their children with 30 eggs in their basket, we made it out with ONE egg. It was a nightmare and I will never do it again- Next year we will have our own Easter egg hunt in our yard. Anyone is welcome.

Matix's ONE egg...

All smiles thinking there were eggs awaiting us...

Now for "Mickey"!!! You need to hear Matix say it-it's darling

We made the trip to Disneyland this past week. It was very fun and we were all exhausted by the last day. Matix was fearless and wasn't afraid of the Pirates or the creepy characters.

The airplane ride there...

Matix had been talking about Mickey before we even got there. He was so excited to see him and gave him a big hug. It made the whole trip worth it!

The Hug...

The monkey cage on the train. He could have rode the train all day long...

Matix is a total ladies man. These were 2 girls that were in line ahead of us for Nemo. Within minutes he was holding both of their hands and wanting to kiss one of them. Can't wait until he's a teenager!!!

The Tea cups... Scott was on the sidelines because it makes him "too sick". Scott's Mom and Brother came with us. Grandma spoiled Matix with a stuffed hippo that he now sleeps with.

This is the sucker that Scott bought Matix. He had had a rough afternoon and Scott thought he needed massive amounts of sugar to cheer him up. I think it was taller then him...

Matix would not let us put this hat on him but would do it himself. That is why it is a little crooked! I love this picture- he looks so grown up...tear!
